You can be sure you are in the right place … just read these quick question & answers to help you …
1. Are you looking for information about completing a Certificate III or IV in Education Support or a Diploma of Education Support (these are the qualifications desireable for a teacher aide or education support officer)?
You can find some straight forward information on each of these qualifications on this website that are delivered by Churchill Education, a nationally Recognised and Registered Training Organisation. You can go straight to that information by just clicking here.
2. Do you already hold some experience as a teacher aide or in working with children, either as a volunteer or as a paid worker?
The programs offered here are really tailored for people with some degree of experience. If you have no experience in working with children and you are looking to complete a Teacher Aide course, then we may not be the right fit for you. Speaking to your local TAFE will give you some idea of when a local public course will be offered that could suit your needs.
3. Are you looking for a teacher aide course that recognises your experience, and doesn’t make you complete assessments on work you are already proficient in?
These courses embrace recognising your experience (called Recognition of Prior Learning or RPL) and always, always, always make the most of the experience you already have … sometimes, that means people obtain their teacher aide qualifications based on their experience alone. Sure is good to know that your experience is worth something! You can check out how we feel about recognised prior learning by reading this interview with one of our students, Nicky or with Jane’s story.
4. Would you prefer to work with a team of dedicated teacher aide trainers who are easy to work with and contact when you need them?
In the training industry, completion rates sit at around 28 – 35% … that means there are a lot of people who never finish their courses. But our completion rates are quite different: 100% of our students graduated with their qualifications. Truly. We know there are a couple of reasons that are really important to getting you the result you want: being committed to you finishing, and providing you with the learning experience that gives you all the support you need. So, if you are looking for a teacher aide course that has a guarantee that your trainer will call you back when you ring and will make sure that everything is done from our end to ensure you graduate, then you are in the right place.
5. Are you open to hearing about federal government funds that may assist you to complete your qualification?
In a nutshell, if you are employed 15+ hours a week in a school or early learning environment already in the private sector, then there are some funds that could be available to your employer to pay for your qualification to be studied during working hours. As with all government initiatives, there’s more to know and more paperwork but there are also great results to be had.
If you made it throught that list of questions and now you find yourself thinking one more question
I wouldn’t mind knowing some more … it might make sense to talk to someone …
Then, it’s simple. You can have a free, no obligation consultation to help you decide whether this course is the right fit for you.
You just need to call us on 1300 793 002 for your free teacher aide courses consultation.
We’re not salespeople … we’re educators, doing what we love, and we’ll give you the time to talk about what it is you need and share with you the information we have about how to achieve your needs … even if we are not the right fit.
Finally, you might have been at the Inaugural Teacher Aides Retreat … in which case, a big warm HELLO!
